Custom Safety Signs

Most of our catalog started as a custom order. That is the whole business model.

The MRI quench vent sign, the fiber duct bank marker, the electric shock drowning sign, the e-bike charging prohibition, the blast freezer aisle set: each one exists because somebody had a hazard that generic sign companies did not cover, described it, and we made it. Then we kept making it, because they were not the only one.

So if you are posting a hazard and cannot find the right sign anywhere, you are in the right place. This is not an exception for us. It is Tuesday.

What we make custom

  • Hazard-specific wording. The sign says what your site needs it to say, in ANSI Z535 format with the correct signal word for the severity.
  • Site-specific information. Emergency contact numbers, utility operator name, facility name, zone identification, or the specific chemical, equipment, or process at your site.
  • Mandated wording you cannot find. OSHA regulated-area substances we do not list yet, state-specific requirements, NEC 555.10 marina wording, or an AHJ's local amendment.
  • Kits for a facility type. If you are outfitting a specific kind of site, tell us the environment and we will assemble the set. Our 22-piece wastewater bundle started this way.
  • Fill-in fields. Writeable areas for supervisor, date, plan location, or permit number, like our Rescue Plan Posted Here sign.
  • Short runs. One sign, ten signs, or a hundred. We do not have a minimum that makes a single custom sign impossible.

What stays the same

Same 8x12 .040 rust-resistant aluminum, same UV-stable inks, same pre-drilled corners, same ANSI layout. Custom means the words change. The sign does not get cheaper or flimsier because it is custom.

How it works

  1. Describe the hazard. Email Info@cgapenterprises.com with what the sign needs to say, where it is going, and anything the site requires. A phone photo of the location helps.
  2. We send a proof. A layout in ANSI format with the right signal word, for you to approve or mark up.
  3. We make it. Production begins on approval, and we confirm the ship date at that point.
  4. If it is a hazard others have too, it may end up in the catalog. Several of our best sellers did.

Pricing

Custom single signs are priced close to catalog signs, because the material and the process are the same. Quantity pricing applies the same way: ten or more signs in one order take 10% off. Written quotes are available for purchase order and approval processes.

Start with what the hazard is.
