Joseph Pannell, Founder

Joseph founded CGAP Safety after more than a decade in telecom outside plant and fiber construction. He started as a wire technician in Tupelo, Mississippi, went on to manage rural broadband construction projects, and then ran field services crews across the eastern United States for an engineering services firm. Along the way he kept a list of the hazards he stood in front of that had no sign. That list became the first catalog.

He holds OSHA 10, ETA Fiber Optic Installer, and FCC General Radiotelephone Operator certifications, and he still spends time in the field, which is where most new signs come from.

Joseph lives in North Mississippi with his family.
